Less than I should have, by the looks of it. After weeks of procrastination, we finally bought some hosting and registered this domain as our first. It’s a funny name; most people read it and say “The News EO Blog.” By the way, there are actually two guys who post on this blog - Genesis (the guy who made the first post) - and myself - The New SEO.
I believe Genesis explained in his ‘The Beginning’ post, but in case you were wondering, SEO stands for ‘Search Engine Optimization’. Search engine optimization is simply getting your website higher in the rankings for searches on search engines such as Google or Yahoo (We like to concentrate on Google for the most part). As you probably expect though, SEO is nowhere near as simple as it sounds; there are countless methods and tactics people employ in their attempts to achieve a higher page rank on Google.
Going back to the name of this site, ‘The New SEO Blog’ is an allusion to new SEO practices and strategies which are perpetually emerging After all, in order to be successful in this industry, you have to be able to adapt to whatever changes appear. Otherwise you might even find that your site has disappeared from Google’s index.
This blog will most likely have daily updates, which is very possible as there are two people who post. It’s been a long day so that’s all for now…
