In the month of March this past year, during my spring break, I spoke to a friend who happened to be a very successful Search Engine Optimizer (SEO) and Affiliate Marketer. He shared his stories of success, and his failures, and how he became what he was. In listening to him, I became quite intrigued with the idea of SEO myself.

Initially my intentions were based on my greed, and I had no real idea what I was dragging myself into. From a first glance, SEO and Affiliate Marketing seemed almost like a get rich quick scheme, and I wanted in. Of-course as I found out in the next few days, I was totally wrong, and if I wanted to become successful I would need to learn to discern between a sinecure, and a painstakingly long and tedious process. Still I felt inspired to pursue SEO and Affiliate Marketing, so I spent the next few days with my head buried in e-books, and various other SEO related websites.

After taking everything into consideration, I figured that the task of search engine optimizing successfully would be far easier if I had a partner to work with; So I called up a good friend and told him about everything I knew, and referred him to all the resources I myself used.

For the months of April, May, and June, all either of us did was research on SEO and other elements of online marketing. Then July rolled around and we figured that we were finally ready to start our search engine optimization and affiliate marketing, so we bought hosting space for a year. The first domain we registered, we both decided to make into the blog that you are reading.

Starting with this entry, I plan to continue blogging more about my partner’s and my organizational thoughts and ideas for the upcoming days and weeks, while carrying out our plans for work.
